Throw one coin in the Trevi fountain and you’ll come back to Rome. Throw two and you’re ensured a new romance. Throw three and you’ll get married. I’ve thrown zero coins into the Trevi Fountain, but so far, I’ve won.
Everyone has those activities–or meals or pit-stops–they have to do every time they go on a trip. For me, those rituals are quite small, and to some may seem outlandish, but everybody’s got their ticks.
Thanks to the ingenuity of the Etruscans, Greeks, and later the Romans themselves, there are plenty of Ancient Ruins to explore in Italy. The best–in my not so humble opinion– is the town of Ostia Antica.
Oftentimes returning to your home university is never as sweet as it sounds.
